Location: North of Bedford (Transport Essential)

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Salary: £26,500 per annum

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established organisation within the construction and utilities supply sector. An opportunity has arisen for a Yard Operative to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys physical work, working outdoors, and being part of a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities:

• Picking, packing, and preparing small and large items for hire and sale
• Quality checking and cleaning equipment (including wet work)
• Manual handling of materials and products
• Maintaining a safe, tidy, and well-organised yard environment
• Supporting installations, including occasional work on customer sites
• Liaising with internal teams to ensure smooth operations
• Adhering to high health & safety standards at all times
• There may be occasions where overnight stays are required during installation work. Overtime is available.

Responsibilities:

• Physically fit with a positive, can-do attitude
• Willing to learn and develop skills within a construction-based environment
• Reliable, hardworking, and able to work well as part of a team
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Counterbalance forklift licence and/or 7.5-tonne driving licence desirable but not essential
