Warehouse Senior Supervisor

Are you an experienced warehouse professional looking to take the next step in your career? We’re recruiting for a Warehouse Senior Supervisor to join a well-established and growing distribution business where you’ll play a key role in leading daily warehouse operations and ensuring exceptional service delivery.
Reporting to the Warehouse & Operations Manager, you’ll oversee the day-to-day performance of the warehouse team, coordinate workloads, monitor productivity, and ensure orders are picked, packed, and dispatched accurately and on time. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and thrives on driving efficiency while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the day-to-day running of warehouse operations, ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently.
- Lead and motivate the warehouse team to achieve daily operational targets.
- Conduct daily team briefings, communicating priorities, workload, and health & safety updates.
- Plan and allocate resources to meet changing customer demands and delivery schedules.
- Monitor picking, packing, and dispatch activities to ensure accuracy and service levels are maintained.
- Oversee stock movements and inventory control, ensuring records remain accurate.
- Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained across the warehouse at all times.
- Support staff development through coaching, guidance, and performance management.
- Work closely with transport providers to coordinate collections and outbound deliveries.
- Investigate operational issues and implement improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, quality standards, and health & safety legislation.
- Complete end-of-day operational checks, ensuring the warehouse is secure and prepared for the following shift.
- Build strong working relationships with internal departments to ensure excellent customer service.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a senior warehouse supervisory or team leadership role at least 5 years.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, stock control, and distribution processes.
- Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or similar inventory software.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop warehouse teams.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
- A proactive approach with excellent attention to detail.
- Knowledge of warehouse health & safety procedures and best practice.
- Flexible attitude and willingness to support operational requirements when needed.
