Trade Counter Customer Advisor
St Neots | Permanent | Mon – Fri, 8.00am – 5.00pm | £25,000 – £35,000
Are you an experienced and customer-focused individual with a background in technical or industrial environments? We’re looking for a motivated Trade Counter Customer Advisor to join our clients’ team and help deliver outstanding service and support to their clients.
In this role, you’ll be the first point of contact for customers – providing knowledgeable advice, processing orders, managing stock levels, and ensuring timely and accurate service. You’ll also play a key role in maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and customers, supporting smooth procurement and delivery operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert product knowledge and technical advice to customers.
- Identify client needs and recommend suitable products or solutions.
- Manage inventory, monitor stock levels, and coordinate orders.
- Support procurement and logistics to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to the overall efficiency of the branch.
Requirements:
- Experience in a technical, trade, or industrial environment.
- Understanding of procurement and stock management processes.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to recommend appropriate solutions based on customer needs.
- Proficient in basic IT systems (e.g., email, spreadsheets, order systems).
- Full, clean driving licence.
