Meter Reader/Technician

£27,453 FTE

6 month contract

37 hours per week

Full flexibility on your working hours across the hours between 06:30 to 20:00.
  
What you’ll be doing:   As a Meter Reader/Technician you will manage your own workload, allowing you to take charge of how you work and choose your own hours with the support of a big organisation behind you.

Your day-to-day activities will include:     
  
– Obtain accurate readings from meters     
– Carry out meter exchanges – (Full training will be provided)     
– Collect meter data     
– Lastly and most importantly, provide excellent customer service to customers   

What does it take to be successful?   
Experience in retail or hospitality being on your feet would be great!

As well as: 
– Customer focussed individuals     
– A professional image is important – uniform and van provided     
– Role can be physically demanding -walking in the region of 3-8 miles daily    
– You will use a handheld computer for your work, so basic IT skills required  
– A full UK driving licence    

Hours   
You are responsible for organising your own time and have the flexibility to plan your own day to meet the meter reading targets.     
  
Working a 37-hour week. Your hours are flexible between the working window of 6:30 to 20:00 Monday to Friday and 08:00 to 14:00 on Saturdays this includes early morning starts and late evenings until 8pm as this is when our customers are most likely to be at home.
