Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Operative/Counterbalance to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating various machinery to ensure efficient production while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. You will also play a key role in gathering, maintaining, and analyzing technical data related to materials, tools, fixtures, and processes used, contributing to continuous improvement efforts. This position primary role is responsibility for preventative, predictive and routine maintenance tasks.

Hours to start on days but will go to rotating shifts 6-2pm/2-6pm Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate machines, ensuring correct tooling, fixtures, and materials are used according to production specifications.
  • Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Gather, record, and maintain detailed technical data on materials, tools, fixtures, and processes used in production.
  • Work closely with quality control teams to ensure all products meet required specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any machine issues or process-related problems.
  • Ensure machines are properly calibrated and maintained to prevent downtime.
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies, including safe handling of materials and machinery.
  • Continuously identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend solutions.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Machine Operator, or in a similar technical role.
  • Valid Counterbalance FLT licence.
  • Strong understanding of machine operations, tooling, and material handling.
  • Ability to gather, analyze, and maintain technical data related to production processes.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing software and tools for data collection and process control.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with other teams.
  • Relevant certifications or training in machining or manufacturing processes is a plus.
