360° Wheeled Excavator Operator / Site Supervisor

Location: Covering sites across the UK (travel and overnight stays required)
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: £35,000 – £38,000 + Overtime + Company Bonuses

We are recruiting for a 360° Wheeled Excavator Operator / Site Supervisor to join a fast-paced site installations team. This role focuses on safely and efficiently installing temporary trackway systems and other non-mechanical plant and equipment, while leading small site teams and maintaining high standards of workmanship.

The successful candidate will operate a 360° wheeled excavator, supervise site activities, and support the growth of the business by adhering to best practices, health and safety standards, and ongoing operational improvements.


Responsibilities:

  • Operate a 360° wheeled excavator to install, lift, and position temporary trackway panels

  • Supervise small site teams, ensuring work is completed safely and to specification

  • Conduct on-site risk assessments and toolbox talks

  • Coordinate vehicle movements, labour, and installation methods

  • Liaise with clients and site managers to ensure smooth project delivery

  • Maintain plant and equipment to high standards and report defects

  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations at all times

  • Support operational efficiency and project profitability

  • Assist with other non-mechanical plant installation tasks as required

  • Travel to site locations across the UK, including overnight stays


Requirements:

  • Valid CPCS or NPORS 360° Excavator (Wheeled) qualification

  • Demonstrable experience operating 360° machines in construction or installation environments

  • Valid CSCS card

  • SSSTS qualification preferred

  • Up-to-date Safety Critical Medical preferred

  • Class 1/2 driving licence preferred

  • Full UK driving licence (towing experience advantageous)

  • Strong understanding of site safety and leadership responsibilities

  • Ability to work away from home when required

  • Reliable, proactive, and strong communication skills
