Hire Controller
Location: Manchester
Salary: £24,000 – £30,000 DOE + Bonus + Benefits
Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Our client, a leading supplier, is looking to recruit a Hire Controller to join their busy and supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity to build a long-term career within a growing, market-leading organisation that values customer service, teamwork, and professional development.
Working in a fast-paced office environment, you will play a key role in supporting customers, coordinating hire activity, and maximising revenue opportunities while delivering exceptional service.
Key responsibilities include:
- Handling customer enquiries via phone, email, and face-to-face interaction
- Processing hire and sales orders accurately and efficiently
- Ensuring all paperwork is completed in line with company procedures (hire contracts, purchase orders, stock transfers, asset records)
- Liaising with warehouse teams to ensure equipment availability
- Coordinating drivers to ensure on-time deliveries and collections
- Meeting reporting deadlines and maintaining accurate system records
- Supporting health and safety compliance across daily operations
- Identifying and maximising consumable sales opportunities
Requirements:
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Professional and well-presented
- Comfortable working in customer service and sales-focused situations
- Able to work collaboratively with internal teams including Sales and Operations
- Organised, accurate, and able to work in a reactive, fast-paced environment
- Full UK Driving Licence required
