Sales Account Manager
Salary: £28,000 – £30,000
Location: Huntingdon, Office-based (own transport required)
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 5.00pm (1hr lunch)
We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-established distribution company seeking a motivated Sales Account Manager to join their friendly internal sales team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy office, building strong relationships with trade customers, and contributing directly to business growth.
You’ll be part of a small, supportive sales team, working alongside a technical department to manage and develop customer accounts. You’ll handle a mix of inbound and outbound activity – from responding to sales enquiries and preparing quotations, to making proactive calls to generate new business and strengthen existing relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to customer enquiries and identify their needs
- Make outbound sales calls to grow new business opportunities
- Prepare accurate quotations and process orders/payments
- Maintain and update the CRM system to ensure all information is current
- Develop and nurture long-term relationships with trade customers
- Collaborate with colleagues to deliver excellent service and achieve team targets
- Receive ongoing product and technical training
Requirements:
- Confident communicator with a professional telephone manner
- Self-motivated and organised, able to manage your own workload
- Positive, team-oriented attitude with a flexible approach
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and quotations
- Previous experience in a sales or account management role is desirable
- Own car essential due to location (limited public transport access)
